Meet the Makers
Discover the talented artisans behind the pieces in this special section. This is my opportunity to feature a talented artist, glassblower or ceramist that embodies the spirit of The Storied Collection. They might be local to Cincinnati, Ohio, discovered on a trip to Wyoming, from my home state of Vermont, or somewhere in between.
I'm thrilled to offer you an inside look at their craftsmanship, stories, and inspiration, bringing a personal touch to the unique items we offer. Let these artists and their pieces tell their story.
Katie Binkley Art
Katie Binkley began painting in 2011, when she returned home to Ohio, after living in New York City, where she worked for Ralph Lauren. Following in the footsteps of her great grandfather and grandfather, Katie started painting landscapes, drawing inspiration from the American countryside and coasts. A graduate of the College of Charleston, Katie now resides in Indian Hill with her Husband and two young sons.
LHH Woodturner
Lydia began her wood turning adventure in 2013 with “Uncle Jerome “ in his shop. Each winter he taught her how to turn bowls, candle holders, vases and more. Lydia joined the Ohio Valley Woodturners Guild in Kennedy Heights in 2021. Hooked on the craft, Lydia attributes the roots of her passion to the guidance she received from many talented, patient and creative members of OVWG. While also serving as a monitor and an At Large Board Member for the OVWG, Lydia also turns from her own studio. Her love for the craft may be seen in her beautifully turned pieces. The wood's unique characteristics are allowed to come through, where no two pieces are identical, and nature truly shines.
*All LHH Woodturned pieces are food safe. Do not allow water or liquids to sit in contact with wood surface; fluctuating temperatures will affect wood.
