Established in 1809, it is the oldest pottery operation west of the Appalachian Mountains located in Madison County, Kentucky. This historic, family-operated studio was renowned for its signature hand-thrown spongeware and rustic clay pieces. With production now ceased, original Bybee Pottery has become highly sought after by collectors.
