A bit of nostalgia, for me. Bringing me back to the years I lived in Manhattan after college, the "We Are Happy To Serve You" paper cup has been a fixture of New York City street corners, bodegas, and Greek diners and delis since 1963. Designer Leslie Buck introduced the now legendary blue and white Grecian motif to the daily routines of New Yorkers. New York City's iconic Greek coffee cup is called an “Anthora,” stemming from the Greco-Roman amphora, an ancient container.

More than 180 million of them are used across the five boroughs every single year. This ceramic version transforms that beloved disposable icon into a permanent keepsake and the perfect gift, faithfully recreating every detail of the original right down to the authentic dent in the rim that forms naturally in the paper cup.
